This is me with my skis at home. The autumn leaves in Queenstown are stunning, and are a forewarning of the winter to come!.
Some kids have posters of the things they love on their wall. But my bedroom window looked straight out at Coronet Peak, my local ski resort. With an ex-ski instructor Dad and a Mum who worked on and loved the mountains too, it’s no surprise that I started skiing there at the age of three.
It’s also the hill I skied down with the Olympic flame in one hand on its 2000 journey to Sydney. I never wanted to let go. This inspired me to achieve my goal of competing at Vancouver 2010; and my experience at Vancouver has inspired me to step up to another level and aim for Sochi 2014!
So this website is a snapshot of how I’ve got to this point, how I’m currently doing and how I hope to get to the next stage.

Preferred music: I have an eclectic taste in music. I like old 80s and 90s rap, techno/trance/house, lounge, and some rock. Examples – Grandmaster Flash, People Under The Stairs, Souls of Mischief, Pryda, Mike Rish and Led Zeppelin.
Preferred movies: Favourite movies are Donny Darko, Lost in Translation, The Life Aquatic, Zoolander, Amélie, La Vita è Bella, Ocean’s trilogy. Oh, let’s not forget any ski movie by Warren Miller.
Dislikes: Closed mindedness, dogmas, the evolution of rap, slow drivers and Easterlies.
